Angola Woman Honored

A woman from Angola was honored by President Obama.

The White House recognized Carrie Vollmer-Sanders as a “Champion of Change” for her work as the Project Director for the Western Lake Erie Project, where she works with farmers and agriculture advisors on nutrient management.

Carrie told reporters that she never expected to be recognized by the President of the United States.

The award is given to ordinary US citizens who do extraordinary things in their community.
