About half of Defiance’s old Clinton Street bridge is now gone, with the rest to be removed in the next couple weeks. After that, officials say, new construction won’t be visible until well into spring. Built in 1932, the bridge is being completely removed — piers and all — and will be replaced with a little wider and longer structure. Right now, half of the bridge’s six spans have been removed along with two of its five piers.
