Clarence “Ike” H. Marihugh, 66

Clarence “Ike” H. Marihugh, 66, of Montpelier passed away early Thursday morning at home. He was born on June 5, 1952 in Crawfordville, Indiana to Clarence H. and Mary (Brown) Marihugh, Sr. Ike graduated from Ayersville High School in 1971. He married Sharon M. Tressler on September 18, 1971 in Defiance and she survives. Ike proudly served his country in the United States Army for 10 years during the Vietnam War.

Ike retired from 20/20 Custom Plastic Molding after 16 years. He was an avid camper, loved his family, his dogs, a huge Jimmy Johnson NASCAR fan and loved his Ohio State Buckeyes.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Sharon; daughter Misty (Andrew) Eberhardt of Florida and James (Johanna) Marihugh of Montpelier; four grandchildren, Benjamin Harrison, Kevin Harrison, Alexis Marihugh and Ethan Marihugh; two great grandchildren Arianah and Annabelle Harrison; and sister Donna Miler of Ayersville.

Ike was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for Ike will be on Monday, October 15th from 2-8pm at the Thompson-Geesey Funeral Home on Empire Street in Montpelier. Services will be Tuesday at 11am at the funeral home with Reverend Velma Lewis to officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites provided by the Montpelier Veterans. Memorial contributions may be given to Bryan Am Vets #54 –“Project Dignity”.
