Defiance man arrested Tuesday in connection to a shooting incident

A Defiance man was arrested Tuesday in connection to a shooting incident that was reported on Defiance’s northside Monday morning. According to the Defiance Police Department, 38 year old Joshua Wachtman of Seneca St., was arrested Tuesday on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and having weapons while under disability. The incident occurred at approximately 10:01 a.m. when officers responded to a report of two shots that were fired in the 820 block of North Clinton St. Two 9mm gun shell casings and a weapon were recovered by officers who responded to the scene. No injuries were reported as result of the shooting. The case is being forwarded to the Defiance County Prosecutor Morris Murray’s office for further review.
