Gov., DeWine nominates a licensed physician, with more than 30 years of experience in public health and preventive medicine, to direct Ohio’s health department. The governor announced the selection of Dr. Amy Acton to lead the office. Acton most recently served as a community research and grants management officer at the Columbus Foundation. She was also an assistant professor at Ohio State’s College of Public Health.
