Here’s the first county-level unemployment figures for 2019. Williams County’s rose from 3.2 in November to 3.8 percent in December and then to 4.3 percent in January. Defiance County’s rate for January was 5.1 percent, up from 4.7 percent in December. Henry County was at 6.9 percent, the highest in the region. Fulton County’s non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for January 2019 was 6 percent, up from 4.9 percent in December.
