Milo Renz, 85

Milo L. Renz, 85 years, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in his residence with his family at his side. He was under the care of Community Health Professionals Hospice.  Milo was born March 6, 1928, in Sherwood, Ohio, the son of the late Perry O. and Gertrude H. (Miller) Renz.  He was a 1946 graduate of Farmer High School and was a member of the 1946 State Champion Basketball Team.  He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He married Mabel Denison on March 21, 1954.  Milo was a lifelong farmer and dairyman.  He also was a milk hauler.  He purchased the former Benner Dairy in 1980.  He was a life member of the Farmer American Legion Post 137 and the Sherwood VFW Post 5665.

Surviving is his wife Mabel of Bryan; four sons, Larry (Gayle) of Sherwood, Ron Renz of Ney, Ed Renz of Sherwood and George Renz of Bryan; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons, Jacob Allen and Perry Lynn Renz; one great-granddaughter, Aubrey; two brothers, Oakley Renz and Perry Renz, Jr. and one sister, Beulah Price.

Visitation for Milo L. Renz will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan.  Funeral services for Milo L. Renz will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013  at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastors Gary Keisling and John MacFarlane officiating.  Interment will follow in Farmer Cemetery, Farmer Township, Ohio with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the Farmer American Legion Post 137 and the Sherwood VFW Post 5665.
