Mona G. Ewalt, 72

Mona G. Ewalt, 72 years, of Bryan, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 in her home. Mona was born July 3, 1945 in Risner, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Newton and Sina (Ousley) Davis. She married Charles G. “Gary” Ewalt on October 9, 1999 in Montpelier, Ohio, and he survives. Mona worked in the Receiving Department for Airway in Edgerton for 5 years. She also was a Home Health Aide providing in-home care for families and working for Community Health Professionals Home Health and Hospice. She attended Restoration Fellowship Tabernacle in Bryan. Mona was a member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233. She enjoyed watching television, cooking, surfing the web on her computer, reading and playing Mario Brothers on Gameboy. She also enjoyed meeting people and making new friends.

Surviving is her husband, Charles, also known as Gary; three children, Timothy (Beth Grisier) Paxton of Bryan, Dawn (Terry) Scalf of Bryan and Angela (Steve) Funk of Edon; six grandchildren, Brittany Paxton, Brandon Paxton, Ryan Kinzer, Travis Kinzer, Merik Funk and Devin Payne; seven step-grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one sister, Sylvia Schneider of Kendallville, Indiana; three brothers, Virgil (Sheryl) Davis of Angola, Indiana, James Luther (Donna) Davis of Edgerton and Burchel (Lona) Davis of Edgerton. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Louise Dyer, Nelva Hawks and infant Ora Lee Davis.

Visitation for Mona G. Ewalt will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 2:00 -4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home – Lynn Street Chapel, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Herb Ruggles officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan.
