More money for the new goat barn at the Williams County Fairgrounds

The Williams County Fair Board at their meeting Thursday received $7,000 in contributions for the new goat barn on the fairgrounds. The Kidding Around 4-H goat club presented the board with a $2,000 check Thursday, representing the proceeds the members and advisors raised from a dozen fundraisers recently, club president Joe Reamsnyder. The donation covers the cost of eight stalls. In addition, fair boar member Matt Campbell presented a check for $5,000 from Kidding Around club founders Junior and Jane Rath. The funds will cover the cost of 20 individual stalls inside the new barn, currently under construction north of the former goat barn. The fair board received a $50,000 matching state grant to cover the cost of the goat barn, which board members hope will be ready in time for the fair, Sept. 9-16.
