National Honor For Poulson

An area educator is awarded a national honor. John Poulson of Pettisville High School earns the National Association of Agricultural Educators Teacher Mentor Award. He received the honor during the association’s annual convention in Texas. Poulson is one of six teachers across the nation to receive the honor. The association recognizes teachers who have mentored others in the profession of agricultural education. That’s not all…it also was announced this week that Poulson is one of 10 finalists in Ohio for Nationwide’s Golden Owl Award. That award recognizes the tremendous contributions of Iowa and Ohio teachers in preparing the next generation of young people for successful careers in ag. Poulson teaches ag education and is Pettisville’s FFA advisor.
