Putnam County woman and former substitute teacher sentenced on sex charges

A Putnam County woman and former substitute teacher was sentenced this week on a charge of having sex with a student. 29 year old Jessica Storer of Pandora, was sentenced to two years in prison by Putnam County Judge Randall Basinger. On Dec. 22, 2016, she was initially charged with sexual battery; and six counts of furnishing alcohol to an underage person. She pleaded not guilty at that time. Storer had reportedly been a substitute teacher with the Putnam County Educational Service Center prior to the incident which involved an 18-year-old male student from Pandora-Gilboa Schools. The incident took place at her residence on 202 South Ave., Nov. 25-26. Storer is required to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life.
