Virginia E. Herman, 98

Virginia E. Herman, age 98, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 5:15 A.M. on Monday, May 2, 2016, at Park View Nursing Care Center in Edgerton, where she was a resident. Mrs. Herman was a devoted farm wife and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton. She also was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and C L of C and enjoyed sewing and attending her Jolly Neighbors Club.

Virginia E. Herman was born on September 28, 1917, in Garrett, Indiana, the daughter of Samuel and Jesse (West) Yingling. She married Rupert A. Herman on February 23, 1938, in Garrett, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on June 8, 2004.

Surviving are six sons, William R. (Pat) Herman, of Edgerton, Richard E. Herman, of Walkersville, Maryland, George E. (Pat) Herman, of Edgerton, David R. (Patty) Herman, of West Chester, Ohio, Michael A. Herman, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Daniel J. (Shari) Herman, of South Bend, Indiana; two daughters, Margaret Ann (Robert, Jr.) Warnock, of Edwardsburg, Michigan, and Christina M. (Dennis) Jones, of Hamilton, Indiana. She is also survived by thirty grandchildren, fifty-seven great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth E. Burkholder; two granddaughters, Melinda Warnock-Campbell and Anita Burkholder-Gates; two brothers, Roy and Kenneth Yingling; and three sisters, Louella Mavis, Dorothy Pfeiffer and Margaret Ann Yingling.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton. Recitation of the rosary will be on Wednesday at 8:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary Catholic Church, Edgerton, with Reverend Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Edgerton.

Memorials are requested to St. Mary School in Edgerton.
