17 YEAR OLD DROWNS OVER MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

A 17-year-old boy from suburban Detroit drowned after the boat in which he and a companion were fishing overturned.

It happened early Sunday morning near Wolf Lake in Lenawee County, about 15 miles northwest of Adrian.

Authorities say police and fire officials determined that two teenagers were out fishing when their boat capsized.

18-year-old Steve Chapo was able to swim to shore. A dive team recovered the body of Jeffrey Walkowski Sunday morning about 8:20 a.m.
