Alan Watson, 47

Alan R. Watson, 47 years, of West Unity, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, September 30, 2013 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo after a brief illness.  Alan was born May 17, 1966 in Montpelier, the son of Kenneth L. and Shirley A. (Montondo) Watson, Sr.  He was a 1984 graduate of Hilltop High School in West Unity.  Alan was employed by Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Defiance.  He had also worked as a security officer at Campbell Soup in Napoleon.  He was a member of Harvest Life Fellowship in Defiance. Alan was a volunteer at New Life Worship Center Food Pantry in Bryan.  He enjoyed photography and being involved with church activities.

Surviving is his mother, Shirley A. Watson of West Unity; two brothers, Kenneth (Teresa) Watson, Jr. of West Unity and Frederick (Theresa) Watson of McClure, Ohio; one sister, Rachel Watson of West Unity as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth.

Memorial services for Alan R. Watson will be held at a later date at Harvest Life Fellowship in Defiance.  Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 202 North Liberty Street, West Unity.
