Andrea E. Nofzinger, 27

Andrea E. Nofzinger, 27 years, of Bryan, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 in her home. Andrea was born March 12, 1991 in Wauseon, Ohio, the daughter of David Nofzinger and Lori Phillips. She was a 2009 graduate of Bryan High School and continued her education at Northwest State and at Brown Mackie College. Andrea recently started working for Peter’s Family Eye Care as an Optometric Technician. She previously worked as a Waitress and Manager at Union Street Grille. She had also worked for Two Bandits, Malibu Tan and Arby’s. Andrea enjoyed staying active, whether playing volleyball or softball, or taking a run. She liked camping, especially those trips with her grandparents at Harrison Lake, visiting Arizona, music and following the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. She truly loved her girls and spending time with her extended family.

Surviving are her two daughters, Emma Roose and Jordyn Bruot; mother, Lori (Jim Schlosser) Phillips of Bryan; father and stepmother, David (Chris) Nofzinger of Bryan; brothers, Alex (Emily) Nofzinger of Columbia City, Indiana, Trevor Mason of Bryan and Christopher Gyurnek of Indianapolis, Indiana; nieces and nephews, Noah, Lilyanne, Austin and Jasmine as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Anita Phillips, Willard Nofzinger, Glenda and Grover Schulte; nephew, Jackson Nofzinger and cousin, Jake Phillips.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Lynn Street, Chapel, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan where memories will be shared starting at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Interment will be private for the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family has strongly requested those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to a fund for her girls at GenFed Credit Union C/O: Lori Phillips.
