Bob Cordy, 61

Robert S. “Bob” Cordy, Jr., age 61, of Archbold, Ohio, passed away due to complications from a stroke on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Bob had been a semi truck driver for Bryan Truck Lines and Central Transport before working for Sauder Manufacturing in Archbold for 25 years, having retired in 2007.

Bob was born in Wauseon on October 29, 1951, the son of Robert “Stanley” and Marcella (Merillat) Cordy. He was a 1970 graduate of Gorham-Fayette High School. He enjoyed going to flea markets, garage sales and auctions. He loved fishing and the outdoors. Bob also enjoyed going to area fairs and was able to spend several days last week at the Fulton County Fair. He enjoyed walking to the Home Restaurant in Archbold for breakfast and he loved attending sporting events for his grandchildren.

Bob had been married to Myrna Snow Brown from 1970 – 1995 and their surviving children are; Rana (Brian) Wooley of Wauseon, Chelsea (Tony) Eash of Pettisville, Cabe Cordy of Pettisville, Autumn (Phil) Harlow of Bellevue, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Myriah, Wade, Emmalyn, Thane, Theary, Griffin, Echo, Britni, Irelan and Olive; sister, Phyllis (Mick) Stamm of Wauseon; brother, Melvin Cordy of Fayette; and long-time friend, Peggy Palmer of Archbold. Also surviving is his ex-wife, Myrna of Wauseon. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Albert and nephew, Justin.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 12, 2013 in the Chapel at Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday at the Smith Cemetery, at the intersection of Co. Rd. 19 and Co. Rd. HJ in Fulton County, and a Celebration of Bob’s Life will then be held at 4:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Crossroads Evangelical Church. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the charity of the family’s choice. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
