Bryan Native Honored

A Bryan native recently received a very high honor.

Robert Lowe, son of Kristine Lowe of Bryan and the late Robert Lowe, has been named a recipient of a Presidential Fellowship, the most competitive and prestigious award given by the graduate school at The Ohio State University.

The Bryan Times says Lowe, a 1999 graduate of Bryan High School, earned his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Ohio Northern University in 2003 and his master’s in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University in 2005.

He is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Ohio State and will graduate this fall. At Ohio State, he has taught numerous undergraduate and graduate engineering sources, has been published in journals, served on various committees and co-authored a text book entitled “Fundamentals of Continuum Mechanics.”
