BRYAN SCHOOL SECURITY UPPED

The Bryan City Board of Education on Monday evening, voted to use $14,000 from the district’s permanent improvement fund to install security cameras and buzzers at every single entrance at every one of the district’s five school buildings. With the new system, school buildings will be completely locked down during the day and the only way for anyone to get in or out will be by pressing a button and waiting for the door to be electronically unlocked.

School officials hope to have the new security in place before the end of this school year.
