Napoleon house fire causes significant damage

A Napoleon family’s Christ­mas is affected by a fire that caused $80,000 dam­age to their home and $15,000 to the home’s con­tents. The house at 60 Lemans Dr. was reported about 4 p.m., accord­ing to the Napoleon Fire Depart­ment. The res­i­dents were dis­placed. The cause has not been determined.

Weekend motorcycle crash not life-threatening

On Sat­ur­day night, a car and motor­cy­clist crashed at Ohio 15 and Wat­son Rd. The biker’s injuries were not life-threatening, accord­ing to the sheriff’s deputy. The crash hap­pened just before 7 p.m. and no other details were released.

Three acres rezoned from ag to commercial use

A Job and Fam­ily Ser­vices employee was fired Fri­day. The Williams County Com­mis­sion approved the dis­missal after a half-hour exec­u­tive ses­sion with County Job and Fam­ily Ser­vices Direc­tor Pam John­son. The employee they say was fired for a vari­ety of rea­sons, includ­ing dis­hon­esty, malfea­sance, vio­lat­ing depart­ment rules and insubordination.

Bryan Police say they arrested an 18-year-old man on theft charges on Sat­ur­day. Ryan Coker was picked up Sat­ur­day night just after 11 p.m. for two counts of theft. He was booked and then released on his own recognizance.
