The Defi­ance Post of the State High­way Patrol has a new post com­man­der. Sgt. Robert Ashen­fel­ter was pro­moted to Lieu­tenant yes­ter­day, and will trans­fer from the Find­lay Dis­trict Crim­i­nal Inves­ti­ga­tion office. He’s been a trooper since 1998.
