CHANGES COMING IN EMPLOYMENT REGS

Changes are coming for both public and private employers in Ohio.

In an event sponsored by the Paulding County Economic Development Agency, some folks who attended heard about changes at the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, job training programs and more on Wednesday.

In what is being called a big change, both public and private employers will be seeing Bureau of Workers’ Compensation premiums being paid prospectively instead of retrospectively.

Currently, premiums from Ohio employers are paid after the fact.

Under a new plan, Ohio’s premiums will be paid on a more timely basis starting in 2015.
