DeLoyd Bernell Kemarly, 84

DeLoyd Bernell Kemarly, 84 of Montpelier, OH went home to be with The Lord on March 11, 2020 at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, OH. He was born on May 7, 1935 in Pioneer to Bernell J. and Idella M. (Reese) Kemarly. DeLoyd graduated from Pioneer High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. In February of 1964 DeLoyd married Alice Wonders and she survives.

DeLoyd worked for Mohawk Tools in Montpelier for 31 years and 18 years with Ferguson Tools in Edgerton. He was a member of Columbia Church of Christ in Columbia, OH where he was an Elder and taught adult Sunday school for over 35 years. DeLoyd was a true servant. His great love for The Lord allowed him to live and love life to the fullest. He was the definition of a true friend, who never knew a stranger. DeLoyd was an avid car lover, enjoyed children, especially babies and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He had a heart of gold and made life fun.

DeLoyd is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Alice Kemarly; three sons, Danny (Donetta) Huffman of Indianapolis, IN, Darren (Joannah) Kemarly, of Allen, MI and Damon (Holli) Kemarly, Liberty, KY; six grandchildren, Kamon (Nikki) Kemarly, Kaden Kemarly, Logan, Lance, Lucas and Noell Huffman; many great grandchildren; five siblings, Joan Moor of Pioneer, Linda (Nelson Berry) Miller of Hillsdale, MI, Keith (Sandy) Kemarly of Ariel, WA, Neil (Sue) Kemarly of Pioneer and Krystal (Mike) Crist of Waldron, MI.

DeLoyd was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Vanessa R. Kemarly,

A memorial service will take place at a later date in time. Donations may be made in DeLoyd’s memory to Columbia Church or Christ or to Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
