Edgerton Council President Quits

The resignation of Edgerton’s council president was announced at Monday night’s regular meeting.

The Bryan Times reports that the Mayor asked council to “regretfully accept” the resignation of Council President Trevor Weaver, who had served on council since 2006. Weaver had just been re-elected for another two-year term in November. Weaver, upon submitting his resignation, said it was necessary due to a job change that will prevent him from attending the meetings regularly.

At that, Council member Walt Kellogg was nominated and then elected council president.

That leaves a vacancy which will be filled by appointment, meaning that if you are interested in the position, you should submit an application at village hall.
