FIRE IN DEFIANCE

No one was injured, but some vehi­cles and a garage were destroyed by flames Tues­day in Defi­ance.

Fire­fight­ers were called to 700 Perry St. at about 6:25 p.m. When crews arrived, the garage and a truck were heav­ily involved.

Two vehi­cles were destroyed by the fire, one inside the garage and another parked in the dri­ve­way. Total loss for the build­ing and con­tents was esti­mated at $45,000.

The Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office is inves­ti­gat­ing to try to deter­mine what started the fire.
