Floyd Williams, 79

Floyd E. Williams, 79 years, of Montpelier, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Floyd was born on July 26, 1935 in Virginia City, Virginia, to the late Charlie and Nettie (Booher) Williams. He married Jane McCoy on September 5, 1981 in Bryan, Ohio.  Floyd worked in maintenance at General Motors Defiance Central Foundry for 37 years until his retirement in October of 1990. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Bryan. Floyd enjoyed going to church and was passionate about sharing his faith. He lived his life showing love to his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a hard worker and found enjoyment in gardening.

Surviving is his wife, Jane Williams, of Montpelier; five children, Mike (Cheryl) McCoy, of Walnut Ridge Arkansas, Rick (Kristina) Williams, of Abingdon, Virginia, Darlene (Greg) Brown, of Lagrange, Ohio, Steve (Brenda) McCoy of Archbold, Ohio, Chris (Charlotte) Williams, of Defiance, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one sister, Judy (Doug) Smith of Castlewood, Virginia. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Melinda Kay Williams; three brothers, Fred, Carl, and Bobby Williams; one sister, Helen Salyers.

Visitation for Floyd E. Williams will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, 925 East Fountain Grove Drive, Bryan, Ohio, with Pastor John MacFarlane officiating. Graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 in Temple Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, 2529 Memorial Drive, Castlewood, Virginia.
