FORMER GRAIN ELEVATOR OPERATORS CHARGED

Three oper­a­tors of a for­mer area grain ele­va­tor were indicted by a Ful­ton County Grand Jury yes­ter­day.

Accord­ing to a release by The Ful­ton County Prosecutor’s Office, 55 year old William Fricke of Wauseon, 60 year old Steven Brink of Arch­bold and 36 year old Todd Gerig of West Unity, were all indicted on charges related to a short­fall of corn dis­cov­ered by Ohio Depart­ment of Agri­cul­ture offi­cials.

Charges against all three included one count of grand theft each, tam­per­ing with evi­dence, and engag­ing in a pat­tern of cor­rupt activ­ity.

The three are also accused of being licensed han­dlers who pur­chased an agri­cul­tural com­mod­ity under a delayed price agree­ment and failed to main­tain the commodity.
