Gene Dean, 84

Gene L. Dean, 84 years, of Bryan, and formerly of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center, Bryan.  Gene was born March 12, 1929 in Bryan, the son of the late Howard F. and Virginia R. (Graham) Dean.  Gene served our country in the Air Force.  He was an Engineer, working for Rockwell International, where he worked on the Atlantis Space Shuttle Project.  He had also worked at White Consolidated and ARO Corp.  Gene enjoyed flying his private airplane and sailing his sailboat.

Surviving are his four children, Kathy (Randy) Ehrman of Angola, Indiana, Allen (Shelly) Dean of Bryan, Tony (Carol) Dean of Bryan and Mike (Marsha) Dean of Greensboro, Georgia; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Dean of Hamilton, Indiana, and his former spouse, Charlene Dean of Bryan.

Private funeral services for Gene L. Dean will be held in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 3985 East Church Street, Hamilton, Indiana with Pastor Jeff Alexander officiating.  Interment will follow in Eddy Cemetery, Hamilton, Indiana.  Visitation for Gene will be private.
