Golf Carts Questioned In Montpelier

In Mont­pe­lier on Mon­day, vil­lage coun­cil mem­bers dis­cussed whether golf carts should legally be con­sid­ered a dis­abil­ity vehi­cle.

Vil­lage Legal Coun­cil Chris Walker said golf carts that may be dis­al­lowed on streets because of being con­sid­ered unsafe, but that rea­son­able accom­mo­da­tions must be made for those with dis­abil­i­ties.

No action was taken on the mat­ter Mon­day, but the sub­ject is still being investigated.
