Harold Eugene “Dinger” Dangler, 87

Harold Eugene “Dinger” Dangler, age 87, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 12:35 P.M. on Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after being in failing health for some time.  Mr. Dangler was a lifelong resident of the Bryan area and had served in the United States Army, enlisting at the age of sixteen.  Harold drove truck for Mohawk Truck Lines in Tiffin, Ohio, and Central Dispatch of Detroit, Michigan, and also had been employed by Cook’s Excavating in Bryan.  He was a member of Bryan AMVETS Post #54 and Bryan VFW Post #2489.  He also enjoyed stock car racing, fishing, camping on weekends with his wife and children when they were young, country music, and dancing with his friends.
Harold Eugene Dangler was born on January 22, 1933, in Payne, Ohio, the son of Chester and Evelyn (Dipsword) Dangler.  He married his wife of fifty-three years, Joyce Ann Fulk, on May 18, 1953, in Payne, and she preceded him in death on November 22, 2006.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie S. Dangler, of Bryan; two sons, Harold E. (Diane) Dangler, Jr., of West Unity, Ohio, and Tommy R. (Martha) Dangler, of Bryan; three grandchildren, Brad, Chad and Chester Dangler, all of Bryan; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Alyssa, and Chelsea Dangler, all of Bryan; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kayden and Kobe Dangler, of Bryan.  He was also preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Randy Dangler; a son, Rex Dangler; a grandson, Michael Dangler; a brother, Robert Dangler; a half sister, Darlene Dangler; and two half brothers, Roger and Paul Dangler.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.  Grave side services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at 1:00 P.M.  in  Lehman Cemetery near Payne, Ohio, with Reverend Susan Kronbach officiating.  Grave side military rites will be conducted by Bryan VFW Post #2489.
