Jason Stuart Throne, 30

Jason Stuart Throne, 30 years, of Fremont, Indiana, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 2, 2019, after a tragic accident that occurred at work.  Jason was born August 30, 1988, in Bryan, Ohio, to Stuart Throne and Rhonda (Beatty) Throne.  He grew up in West Unity and graduated from Hilltop High School in 2007.  He continued his education at WyoTech Technical School in Pittsburgh, where he majored in diesel mechanics, graduating in 2008.  He went to work for Bill’s Towing and Recovery in Angola and Fremont, Indiana in 2015 where he gained a treasured extended family.  His job took him to Houston and Wilmington, North Carolina for weeks at a time, where he helped in disaster and clean-up relief in the flood zones.  He loved his work and brought home stories of tragedy and kindness that touched him deeply.  Jason grew up attending the Pleasant Ridge Dunkard Brethren Church and the Stryker First Baptist Church.  In his spare time, Jason loved to hunt, fish, watch football, play golf, kayak and spend time with friends and the love of his life, his fiancé Abigail Styron.  Jason and Abby were to be married on June 22nd of this year.

Surviving is his father, Stuart (Kristy) Throne of Montpelier, his mother, Rhonda Throne of Bryan; sister, Stephanie (Brady) Ruffer of Stryker; nephew, Isaac and his niece, Marissa.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Lucille Throne and George and Corrin Beatty; one aunt, Margaret Snyder.

Visitation for Jason Stuart Throne will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Stryker First Baptist Church, 100 South West Street, Stryker.  Funeral services for Jason will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in the Stryker First Baptist Church with Pastor Jesse Kahler officiating.  Interment will follow in Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity, Ohio.  Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, West Unity.

Preferred memorials are to be made to the Hilltop FFA, Throne Memorial.
