MAIL TRUCK CRASH

A tractor-trailer carrying mail crashed in Steuben County Sunday afternoon.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office reports that it happened on US Highway 20 under the I-80/90 bridge when the tractor trailer hit the Indiana Toll Road bridge support. The rig was a total loss, but all the mail inside the trailer was salvaged.

The truck-driver, 53 year old Stanic Kresimir of Hoffman Estates, Illinois went to Cameron Hospital in Angola with a minor head injury. He told police that he believes a mechanical failure caused the crash.
