Marcia L. Sabins, 72

Marcia L. Sabins, age 72, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, in her home surrounded by her family after a brief illness.  Mrs. Sabins was a 1965 graduate of Edgerton High School and had been employed by Spangler Candy Company, retiring with thirty-eight years of service.  She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bryan Eagles, Aerie #2233, Ladies Auxiliary and was a former member of the Red Hat Society. Marcia enjoyed crocheting and made baby blankets and hats for newborns that she would donate to the hospital and also made lap blankets that she donated to the nursing home for the residents.  She also loved to dance and especially loved her family.
Marcia L. Sabins was born on July 26, 1947, in Auburn, Indiana, the daughter of Earl and Hazel A. (Jones) Blinzler.  She married Steven F. Sabins on July 3, 1986, in Bryan and he survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Jennifer Herman, of Bryan, Sondra (Rich) Paxton, of Hawthorne, Nevada, and JoAnna Sabins, of Edgerton, Ohio; one son, Steven B. (Carly) Sabins, of Bryan; one grandson; seven granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Sharon) Blinzler, of Edgerton; five sisters, Norma Seevers, of Hicksville, Ohio, Marlene (Robert) Wolfrum, of Edgerton, Judith (Kermit) Reineck, of Bryan, Janet (Marvin) Hendricks, of Montpelier, Ohio, and Janice (Raymond) Wygant, of Bryan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Carolyn Sampson.
Grave side services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 2:00 P.M.  in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton with Reverend Fred Duschl officiating.  For those wishing to attend Marcia’s services, we ask that you maintain proper social distancing while offering the family your support.
Memorials are requested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
