Phyllis Miller, 96

Phyllis Miller, age 96, of Brooklyn, Michigan and formerly of Wauseon, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s residence on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. She was born on March 31, 1922 in Orrin, North Dakota to the late Michael and Franziska (Schmidt) Kurtz. On February 26, 1946, she married John Miller and he preceded her in death in 1991. Phyllis worked at Fulton Tubing for many years until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Brooklyn, Michigan and a former member of St. Caspar Catholic Church in Wauseon. Phyllis was also a member of the VFW Auxillary.

Left to cherish her memory is son, Michael (Marcia) Miller of Uniontown, OH; daughters, Marilyn (Michael Chanter) Hannibal of Brooklyn, MI, Yvonne (John) Wickizer of Swanton, OH, and Lynn (Wally) Adamczyak of Michigan Center, MI; grandchildren, Rhonda (Tad Smith) Lewis, Chad Miller, Monica (Mathew) Crago, Danielle Wickizer, Nicky (Bill Johns) Wickizer, Jennifer Adamczyak, and Lindsay (Roderick) Parker. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and a brother, Michael Kurtz of Devils Lake, ND. Preceding her in death bedsides her parents and husband is son, Ronald Miller, and 10 brothers and sisters.

Visitation for Phyllis will be on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 12 PM until 2 PM at the St. Caspar Catholic Church in Wauseon. A Mass of the Resurrection will take place at 2 PM, also on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the church. Interment will follow in the St. Caspar Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Phyllis’ memory may be left to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Those wishing an online condolence to the family may do so at www.grisierfh.com.
