Richard Dietrich, 79

Richard W. Dietrich, 79 years, of Ney, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in the emergency room of Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan.  Richard was born June 12, 1933 in Bryan, Ohio the son of Harold W. and Christian (Grine) Dietrich.  He was a 1951 graduate of Ney High School.  Richard was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.  He married Mildred “Nancy” Lutz on September 16, 1956 in Ney, and she preceded him in death on September 1, 2002.  Richard was employed by the 50 Division for over 35 years, retiring in 1999.  He was a member of the Farmer American Legion Post 137.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his children, Richard A. “Rick” (Lori) Dietrich of Cecil and Roxanna Ronald) Goodwin of Bryan; two grandchildren, Adam Dietrich of Santa Anna, California and Summer Dietrich of Alexandria, Virginia; two sisters, Lwella (John) Weller of Ney and Nancy Dwyer of Littleton, Colorado; one brother, Forest (Madeline) Dietrich of Ney.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy and grandson, Jeremiah Giesige.

Visitation for Richard W. Dietrich will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home – Greenisen Chapel, 225 East High Street, Bryan where funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 with Rev. Ronald Adkins III officiating.  Interment will follow in Ney Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the Farmer American Legion Post 137.
