SK Site May Be Sold

A company that deals with abandoned factory sites has expressed interest in acquiring the former SK Hand Tools property at Defiance.

According to the Crescent News, now Defiance County Commissioners need to figure out how the more than $100,000 in unpaid property taxes due on that property will be handled, and who the legal owner really is.

Defiance County commissioners have already met with one of the former owners of SK, who along with his business partner declared bankruptcy in 2010.

The unpaid bill on property taxes for the six parcels involved, amount to $146,494.31.
