Teachers Getting Raises — Kids Getting Drug Tests

A spe­cial meet­ing of the Wayne Trace Local Board of Edu­ca­tion was held Mon­day morn­ing and a new three-year con­tact for teach­ers, along with drug test­ing for high school students/athletes was approved.

The teach­ers will be get­ting a 2.25 per­cent raise each year for the next three years.

The drug test­ing pol­icy for the 2014–15 school year was approved, in which all stu­dent ath­letes will be tested prior to the begin­ning of each of the three ath­letic sea­sons, and the test­ing date will be announced four to six weeks prior to each of the test­ing dates.
