TOLEDO EDISON EXPLAINS WEEKEND POWER OUTAGE

The power was out for some cus­tomers in our area over this past week­end.

Toledo Edi­son says more than 7,000 cus­tomers from the Defiance-Holgate areas were with­out power Sun­day evening due to an equip­ment fail­ure.

It hap­pened around 7 p.m. when an insu­la­tor failed at the Rich­land sub­sta­tion along U.S. 24 in Defi­ance.

7,450 cus­tomers were affected. The out­age lasted from nine min­utes in some areas to more than two hours in other areas.
