Woman Who Was Shot In The Head Still In The Hospital

The woman who was acci­den­tally shot in the head by her hus­band Sun­day is still hos­pi­tal­ized.

The Crescent-News says 42 year old Becky Smith of McClure was listed in crit­i­cal con­di­tion at Toledo Hos­pi­tal on Wednes­day.

Accord­ing to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Smith was shot by a .22 rifle while she and her hus­band, Noah, were in their barn look­ing for a squir­rel. It hap­pened when the bold on Noah’s rifle hit a door frame and the rifle fired.

Henry County Sher­iff Michael Boden­ben­der reports that an inves­ti­ga­tion by his depart­ment con­cluded that it was an acci­den­tal shoot­ing, and no charges will be filed.
